Role of Sestrin 1 in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common reproductive endocrine disorder that affects at least 10% of women age. Cystic ovaries, low or absent ovulation, and high circulating testosterone levels are the group symptoms define polycystic (PCOS).The aim study: To investigate whether sestrin 1 can serve prognostic indicator in syndrome. The study included 100 with age ranged between (18 – 44) years involving 70 PCOS patients 30 apparently healthy as control age, fertility consultant gynecological obstetric teaching hospital, Kerbala health directorate Iraq College Applied Medical Sciences, University during duration from October ., 2022 to April, 2023. Rotterdam criteriOn-2003 was presumed females. result showed there were highly significant decreasing woman contrast without PCOS. According BMI overweight at( P =0.001) whereas obesity P= 0.004) normal weight (P= 0.004). (18_23) while group( 24_29)at (P =0.000) (30_35) (P=0.006) (36_41) P=0.274) conclusion indicated reduced serum may be has potential new diagnostic biomarker .
